A Journey Rooted in Service, Education and Excellence
Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, CPCRI, Kasaragod was established in 1980 under the Project Sector, with the support of the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasaragod, an esteemed institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
In its initial years, the Vidyalaya functioned within the administrative campus of CPCRI. With the growing educational needs of the children of the region and the continued support of CPCRI, the Vidyalaya subsequently moved to its permanent school building.
Since its inception, the Vidyalaya has remained committed to providing quality education to children from diverse backgrounds, following the Admission Guidelines of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). Over the years, it has grown into an institution that embodies the core values of education, discipline, inclusiveness, character building and holistic development.
A COMPACT AND NURTURING VIDYALAYA
Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, CPCRI, Kasaragod is a single-section Vidyalaya, catering to students from Class I to Class XII.
At the Senior Secondary level, the Vidyalaya offers the Science stream, enabling students to pursue their academic interests and prepare themselves for higher education and future careers.
The single-section structure provides a close-knit and nurturing school environment, allowing teachers to give personal attention to students and facilitating effective monitoring, meaningful interaction and strong collaboration among students, teachers and parents.

Situated within the residential campus of CPCRI, the Vidyalaya enjoys a serene, green and peaceful environment that is highly conducive to learning.
The school building and essential infrastructure are provided with the support of CPCRI, reflecting the strong and enduring institutional relationship between CPCRI and the Vidyalaya.
The campus also has a playground, providing students with opportunities to participate in sports, physical education and a variety of outdoor activities. These facilities contribute significantly to the physical, emotional, social and overall holistic development of the students.
The natural surroundings and tranquil atmosphere of the CPCRI campus provide an ideal setting where young minds can learn, explore, grow and flourish.

The Vidyalaya is conveniently located adjacent to NH 66, near Chowki Junction, approximately 5 km from Kasaragod town towards the Kasaragod–Mangaluru highway.
